Developing the Essential Skills of the Attendance Officer/ Administrator 

This practical training course has been specifically designed to fully equip Attendance Administrators with the knowledge, skills and strategies to enable them to significantly improve the strategic and operational systems which impact on attendance levels in their schools. Colleagues attending will explore a range of tried and tested strategies to improve efficiency, build confidence and increase attendance. 
 
The training will be led by an Attendance Welfare Officer whose school attendance levels have risen from 89% to 94% and an Attendance Administrator, who has seen levels rise from 87% to 94%. 
 
The day will focus on: 
 
* Understanding and implementing the key elements required to achieve high attendance 
* Developing highly effective attendance procedures, ensuring administration is watertight and meeting legal requirements 
* Using data to generate reports, inform practice and facilitate early intervention 
* Ensuring effective liaison with students, parents/carers, the leadership & pastoral teams and outside agencies 
* Sharing best practice in a range of secondary schools whose attendance levels have significantly improved 
 
Course Fee: The fee for this course is £229 +VAT (per person)
